A Windsor police constable facing several drug charges has resigned, CBC News has learned.
Const. David Bshouty tendered his resignation July 23.
Bshouty faces a charge of trafficking a controlled substance, which was laid in March of this year. He also faces a charge of possession of a controlled substance, laid in April of 2014.
None of the charges has been proved in court.
Bshouty was also facing 12 Police Act charges, ranging from discreditableconduct to deceit and insubordination, at the time of his resignation.
Bshouty had been a member of the Windsor Police Service since 2009.
